SUNRISE, Fla. – CHAUVET® DJ, a leading manufacturer of LED lighting, announces two seminars delivered by DJ Mikey Mike during The 2012 DJ Expo taking place August 13 – 16 at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City.

CHAUVET® DJ partners with DJ Mikey Mike, one of the top mobile DJs in the industry and widely known for his instructional video series, to deliver a seminar providing DJs with tips to increase their bottom line by $10,000 and another on ShowXpress™. During the first seminar, DJ Mikey Mike will provide DJs with tips to increase their gross sales by $10,000 and conduct a Nimbus™ demonstration. The second seminar is an instructional demonstration on ShowXpress™ — the software program that turns almost any computer or smartphone into a lighting console. DJ Mikey Mike and Allan Reiss, CHAUVET® DJ product manager, will cover basic DMX and how to create, store, control and play back a light show, programming, MIDI triggering, creating complex scenes and effects, on-the-fly manipulations and layering. The ShowXpress™ seminar features the completely wireless and battery-operated Freedom™ series, the powerful Intimidator™ Spot LED 150 moving head and the Nimbus™ professional dry-ice machine. The seminars take place Tuesday, August 14 at 12:30 p.m. in Diamond Room B and C.

DJ Mikey Mike, aka Michael Susca, is widely known for his video series entitled “Do It From Scratch,” which is described as combining MacGyver and Bob Villa in the DJ industry. His series demonstrates ways DJs can tap into their own ‘do-it-yourself’ skill set by building custom cases, unique lighting brackets and stands. Additionally, he hosts instructional DMX lighting control training videos.
