Sunrise, FL – (For Immediate Release) – When you open a new club in one of the most upscale hotels in one of the world’s most sizzling nightlife cities, it had better be something special. The experienced team that launched the Boutiq Ultra Lounge in Dubai obviously understood this, which is why they scoured a couple of continents, drawing inspiration from the hottest night spots in the US and Europe before they opened their club. It’s also why they retained the services of LD Michael Meacham of iDesign Productions in Miami who used Chauvet fixtures to create a special look in club’s VIP lounge.

Meacham, who has a long list of outstanding international club lighting designs to his credit, did not disappoint. This much is obvious as soon as one sets foot inside the 5,000 sq. ft. Boutiq Ultra Lounge. Stunning light displays from floor to vaulted ceiling greet visitors; and then there’s a world-class selection of handcrafted cocktails and signature dishes from acclaimed Executive Chef Andrew Zarzosa.boutiq

As Meacham and the Boutiq Ultra Lounge management team well understand, however, every club that draws an upscale crowd also needs a VIP area where guests can kick back in a relatively private sophisticated setting while still being part of the action. The stylish VIP Room overlooking the stage and DJ booth at Boutiq provides just such a get-away with a little help from the CHAUVET® DJ Intimidator Beam 350.

“I wanted something to lend a smooth touch to the lounge – something a little softer, because offering this area as a counterpoint to the dance floor was a critical part of creating a complete club experience at the Boutiq Ultra Lounge,” said Meacham. “At the same time, though, I also wanted something with the punch to convey a sense of excitement in the lounge with gobos, split beams and other elements.”

I run it with a GrandMa console, put it through all the paces and it does a great job. I want to run LED fixtures like this in a club, because the lights are on long hours a day seven days a week so the long life and low power draw are important – but of course, the light has to be powerful enough to do the job. With the high output of the Intimidator fixtures, brightness is not an issue.”

At the Boutiq Ultra Lounge, Meacham also used the Intimidator Beam to highlight some of the VIP lounge’s architectural details. “The lounge is a very distinctive space with interesting wooden slab-like structures breaking it up and large chandelier overhead,” he said. “I wanted to dramatize these features, so I used the Intimidator to highlight them. The fixtures worked perfectly in this regard, just as they did with everything else I wanted from them; they played a big part in the success of this design.”
