DJ Jacob Brings Wireless Options to Jacksonville
Posted on August 6, 2013Jacob Towe, aka DJ Jacob, owns DJ Jacob Towe – The Luxury Wedding and Event DJ entertainment company based in Jacksonville, Fla. With seven years of experience and the only DJ on staff, Towe averages about 60-70 weddings per year. He invested in wireless lighting and incorporated Freedom Par Quad-5 and EZpar 64 RGBA wash lights into his setup. Read on.
“This picture was taken at the Nocatee Crosswater Hall during a wedding. For this event, I used eight white Freedom Par Quad-5 wash lights with two Freedom Charge P cases, eight black EZpar 64 RBA wash lights with two CHS-30 VIP Gear Bags, four Intimidator Spot LED 350 moving heads and a Gobo Zoom LED 2.0 gobo projector.
The wireless Freedom series drastically changed the way I market myself to venue managers and wedding coordinators — simply put, they’re in awe! When I show them how I can place my lights where they should go — not where the wires force them to go — they are amazed. In Jacksonville, I am the only DJ with completely wireless uplighting and that alone has made me the preferred vendor at two different venues. They love that there are no wires for their guests to trip on and prefer not to supply power for lighting. With the white Freedom Par Quad-5 lights, I can put them in plain sight and they coordinate with any design or decor that a wedding planner or bride has envisioned.
My company is known for using the very best products. I use Bose speakers, Apple computers and Sennheiser microphones. So when I wanted to incorporate lighting into my setup, the obvious choice was Chauvet. My only problem was the ugly, time-consuming wires. However, when a wireless option was released, it was a no brainer to buy Freedom lights and go wireless in my production.”
