Built like a tank, but stopped working within a year

December 25, 2019

I’ve swapped between hazers and smoke/fog machines for several years. In my experience, the hazers last longer, but they all fail too quickly. I had a HH4D, and it lasted a decent time. When it failed, I didn’t want to spend that much again, so I bought a HH1D. It was okay, but died fairly quickly. I dove in and bought the H1800 Flex. It’s a heavy-duty, massive unit, but the damn thing died within a year. I went back to a HH4D and it’s done well for about 2 years now. Trouble is, I’m using it more like a fogger than a hazer, and the hazers mess with some of my lights, making them flicker and glitch. I just bought (2) H1000 smokers hoping they’ll solve some issues at a lower cost as I’ll just fire them quickly to fill the stage with smoke. Even if they make the lights flicker too, it’ll just be for a few seconds because of the smokers’ higher, thicker output.

Hard to give up!!!

December 2, 2018

This thing has been amazing since the day it was purchased,WHEN chauvet first released the 1800. Through constant use on stages and even sitting idle for a long time, it is ready for duty. We have kept it super CLEAN which I believe is the answer for any piece of gear to be reliable and dependable. Great job CHAUVET!!! I want to get couple OF the new GEISER Series, but this thing puts out the dense heavy fog or lightly fills a room if your easy with your shot times. I am just not ready to let it go to 2nd call yet.
