CHAUVET DJ Mobile Beat Seminars Feature Unique Speaker Settings

January 2014

Sunrise, Fla.Chauvet DJ is taking Mobile Beat seminars to aaurora1 whole new level, quite literally. The company will be holding a series of information-rich CHAUVET DJ Academy educational sessions in Riviera Skyboxes 207 and 208 above the show floor during Mobile Beat 2014.  The elevated “classrooms” will look nothing like the institutional seminar rooms that are standard at conventions. Instead, the skyboxes will be set up to resemble the venues where mobile entertainers actually work, such as a wedding reception, prom, nightclub and corporate function, depending on the subject covered by each particular session.

“There’s no substitute for seeing the ideas that a speaker is talking about come to life in a realistic setting during a seminar,” said Beth Weinstein, CHAUVET DJ marketing manager. “We wanted to create a more complete immersive learning environment as part of our commitment to offering DJs the best educational resource.”

In addition to the educational seminars, two of the skybox sessions will include cocktail receptions and networking opportunities. Space for each seminar is limited and is only open to Mobile Beat attendees. Registration for the seminar is at www.chauvetdjacademy.com.

The first-of-its-kind CHAUVET DJ Academy Skybox session series will include the following:

Tuesday, February 4th   — The Wedding Reception, which will have the skybox decorated by an event planner complete with table centerpieces and linens. There will also be catered dishes and of course displays of wedding lighting.  The CHAUVET DJ Academy panel of speakers will share wedding entertainment and lighting-related advice from 12:00pm until 6:00pm. Attendees can then enjoy a wedding reception cocktail and networking event from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

Wednesday, February 5th – The Club, Prom and Party day will see the skybox decorated appropriately for these events. The same lighting fixtures used in Tuesday’s wedding reception will be pumped up to create a more dynamic party look.  Seminars will be from 11:30am until 5:00pm, followed by an “After-Prom” cocktail party and networking session.

Thursday February 6 — Corporate Events day will have the skyboxes decorate to create a business environment. The same fixtures used in the first two sessions will be reworked to create a powerful corporate impression. From 10:00am until 2:30pm, speakers will present shorter, TED Talk-style presentations on a variety of lighting, DJ and trussing topics.

In keeping with the forward looking vision of its skybox sessions, CHAUVET DJ Academy has assembled a stellar cast of expert speakers for the three day event.  Coming from different segments of the mobile entertainment industry, these speakers will draw upon a wealth of experience and a cutting edge sense of where the market is headed to provide valuable insights and hands-on information to DJs of all experience levels.
