SUNRISE, FL.— CHAUVET DJ has partnered with the Juggerknot Theatre Company for their newest production of Miami Motel Stories, an immersive non-traditional theatrical experience, at the Broadmoor Hotel on Ocean Terrace in Miami. CHAUVET DJ is providing a collection of lighting units to elevate this dynamic performance. The Juggerknot Theatre Company has partnered with Perrier®, HistoryMiami, and Ocean Terrace Holdings to tell the story of North Beach through the lens of neighborhood locals who lived, worked, and played on these streets.

Juan C. Sanchez’s thought-provoking play authentically highlights everything from 1920’s prohibition to the effects of contemporary snowbirds. “These stories bring attention to the community and inspire future development projects that serve the betterment of Miami as a whole,” said Geoff Short, CHAUVET DJ Global Brand Manager. “This production has the virtue of being both an awareness project and an exercise in avant-garde theater which is the perfect job for our versatile Freedom wireless gear.”

Juggerknot Theatre lighting designer, Anna Maria Morales, uses CHAUVET DJ products to “sculpt” her design. With a collection of Freedom units, she successfully transformed the hotel space into an immersive set. “I love the battery-powered fixtures. You can put them anywhere without cables where they completely merge into the space. They’re amazing, and they last the entire show.” CHAUVET DJ provided four Freedom Q1, two LED Followspot 120ST, two EZ Gobo, two Hurricane 700, two Freedom H1, four Freedom CYC, Freedom Flex H4 unit, a D-Fi Hub, and a DMX-AN2 to help bring Morales’ vision of Miami Motel Stories to life. Miami Motel Stories will run at the Broadmoor Hotel until the end of March.
